 NMM Friend’s Museum Workshop Training Day: Saturday 27/02/16

Saturday 27/02/16 was the date when 50 friends of the museum attended the first workshop training day of 2016 which was held in the museums Premier Suite.

Hosted by journalist and “Milestones” TT calendar girl Rachael Clegg, the day consisting of talks & demonstrations from companies and individuals associated with the museum.

The morning sessions offered the chance to learn some “tricks of the trade” from Redditch Powder Coaters and Central Wheel Components, both of whom work closely with the museums in-house restoration team.

During the afternoon session, museum friends were treated to a fascinating talk by Norton race machine guru and ex-NVT development engineer Norman White who has restored many of the museums twin cylinder Norton race machines.

National Motorcycle Museum Winter Raffle: Final Reminder.

Here’s a final reminder that the museums winter raffle to win an original, matching numbers 1959 Triumph T120 ‘Tangerine Dream’ 650cc Bonneville will be drawn on Sunday 24th April 2016 at the International Classic Motorcycle show, Stafford.

Raffle details-

1st Prize- 1959 650cc Triumph T120 Bonneville motorcycle restored in the museums workshops.

2nd Prize-1966 200cc Triumph Tiger Cub motorcycle.

3rd Prize- Luxury “classic” weekend hotel break for two people.
