1968 P11A Norton desert racer
Norton’s lusty 750cc P11s are rare, but the Museum has acquired all four variants of the made from 1967 to 1969. The export-only twins were designed for cross-country racing across the deserts of America’s far-Western States. Recently arrived is the third “desert sled” to go on display, a 1968 P11A. This second version of the potent P11 has a longer seat than the original and pillion footrests, to make it suitable for street use, as well.
