Product Description

A friend called ‘Huggy’ told Roy of his recent restoration of an old Harley Davidson, and of his ambition to ship it to the USA and ride across the open prairie, and, having seen Roy’s painting ‘Dangerous Road’ added ‘love to race one of those old American loco’s!’ He needed no further persuading. Although most of his paintings are produced in watercolours because he finds the medium ideal for capturing the effect of chrome and painted fuel tanks, on this occasion Roy used oil paint to help with portraying the ‘bulk’ of those huge powerful American Pacific Locomotives. The Internet helped with finding photo reference of the loco and a photo of Huggy on his Harley, set him off on an Oil adventure.
