DESIGNED, ENGINEERED AND BUILT IN BRITAIN
The Brute 500 is a Brute by name and Brute by nature. Inspired by the racetrack but built for the road, it is Herald’s own modern take on the street tracker. Sporting a 42.9 bhp torquey four-stroke single and weighing in at 145kg, this bike is perfectly suited for all motorcyclists wanting to return to riding in its purest form. From beating the traffic in the city streets, tearing up the B roads in the countryside and exploring forgotten paths with a set of knobbly tyres, this modern tracker can do it all.
It’s an exciting time at Herald Motor Co. as the goal to design and manufacture a British-built motorcycle becomes a reality. Design, engineering and assembly of the Brute all takes place at Herald’s headquarters in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The frame, exhaust, bodywork, seat and machined components are manufactured in the UK.
Unusually, the Brute has a higher number of machined parts than other motorcycles due to the company’s expertise in this area, usually motorcycle parts are cast instead. We have manufactured a wealth of components internally including yokes, wiring loom, swing arm, outriggers, levers and so much more. When necessary, we worked with premium British suppliers such as HEL Performance for our front brake system. The Racetek suspension has been designed and built to UK specification with Herald’s own unique floating-shock linkage system.
Herald Motor Co. entered the motorbike sector over a decade ago initially working with partners. However, their passion for motorbikes meant the goal was always to design and manufacture motorcycles in Britain. As a division of an award-winning engineering and manufacturing company established in 1988, Herald can design and produce parts in-house and have the facilities to develop and manufacture their own British-built motorcycles
