REVVING IT UP…..AT THE NMM

A wedding is the start of an exciting new beginning for any couple and the best weddings are ones that are personalised and incorporate aspects that both the bride and groom enjoy. A themed wedding is an excellent way for a couple to express themselves on their special occasion.

So, if you and your partner-to-be are crazy about motorbikes, then why not make this your wedding theme? There are so many unusual and exciting things that you can incorporate into your biker themed wedding to pull it off successfully. PLUS, as its non-seasonal, you have the flexibility to hold your wedding at any time of the year!
Dress to Impress
To look your best when you say “I Do” choose a dress that complements your theme. But before you make a final decision on the dress you need to consider a few other things. Do you plan on riding a motorbike to the reception? Do you want the groom to enter on a bike so you can just hop on? Or how about a sidecar option?
If you plan on any of these things, you might want to consider your dress type. You could wear a short dress or a two-piece gown so that you can throw off the lower part and jump into your jeans before going to the reception. Also big at bike themed weddings, the bride can add grunge to a pastel coloured gown with a leather jacket or even a leather skirt.
As for the groom, he can wear traditional dress, bike leathers or even jeans, a white shirt paired with black leather jacket and boots to complete the ensemble!

Invitingly Different
By selecting the biker theme, you have already dared to be different so why not invest in wedding cards that stand out and showcase your idea. You can opt for invites that match your colour scheme or you could go with a studded wedding invite that gives off a racier theme.
Or for weddings with a rustic touch you can even make your invitations adding on miniature wooden motorcycle decor details.

Be our Guest
Want a motorcycle-inspired guest book, then here’s a really creative idea……what about using a helmet as a guest book?
You can put two helmets together on a table and ask your friends and family to write some well wishes on them.

Do me a Favour
For a memorable touch for your guests, how about investing in personalised keepsake name badges and wedding favours that match your theme. These engraved wooden motorcycle napkin holders would make a lovely favour….or how about small leather jacket keychains, customised chocolates with bike wheels printed on the wrappers or even biker themed cupcakes for your guests.

Piece of Cake
When you choose to theme your wedding, make sure you carry the detail through every little bit of the day. The wedding cake can be totally unique too.
If you want the cake to be rustic, you can go for a traditional three-tiered buttercream cake and add a Motorcycle cake topper complete with road signs and trees or for a more relaxed style, how about a cake that resembles a bike tyre?

Aisle be There
To walk down the aisle as a newly married couple is one of the most incredible experiences in your life and one that you can really celebrate in style.
To make this moment even more memorable, fun and inclusive with your biker friends you could have bikes lined up as a guard of honour and as you pass each biker can rev the engine.
A memorable entrance could be the bride and bridesmaids entering the venue riding their bikes. However, keep in mind that to carry out this twist you would need a big open space at your venue.
