Product Description

Jim Redman MBE is a true motorcycling legend who raced and lived life to the full, through that wonderful era of bike racing in the Sixties.

Charting his tremendous career, this biography, from acclaimed producer David Wood, includes many of his great races and epic on-track battles.

Jim tells his own story via a comprehensive interview – exclusive to this programme – with BBC journalist Chris Carter, in which he talks about his phenomenal career including his TT victories and six World Championships.
Interspersed throughout are superb shots of Redman in action and wheel-to-wheel with legends Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini, Phil Read and Bob Mc Intyre. Dramatic footage from the TT, Assen, Spa, the Sachsenring and short circuits (Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Thruxton etc) brings this great era alive. In addition to previously unpublished footage, there are many behind-the-scenes moments.

Known as a tough adversary both on and off the track. Jim Redman is one of THE names of motorcycling. Packed with wonderful memories, the glorious sounds of those 5 and 6 cylinder Hondas and all the atmosphere and camaraderie of racing in the Sixties, this is a magical video which truly revels the enormous talent and charisma of the legendary Jim Redman.
